Hillcrest Stewardship Chart

Work days continue and we have much work to get done in a short period of time!  We will only have 4 or 5 Saturdays to get all the work completed to be prepard to drop in the steel super structure.

Some of the upcoming tasks are:

Relocate grounding wire
Remove plumbing (water line relocation, water heaters, janitor’s closet)
Remove all drywall, walls, ceiling tile, doors, and cabinets in lay-away area (leave bathroom enclosed)
Remove all carpet
Remove floor tile where needed
Roof and steel structure (see Demo plan) – limited personnel
Remove front entry
Remove remaining glass (timing is important)
Remove concrete block wall to expansion joint
Frame in doorway for access and security
Cut concrete and excavate column footings
Erect super-structure
Continue demolition of the layaway, restroom, office and storage areas.

There will be a huge need for keeping the worksite clean and clear of debris and recycling anything of value from the demolition.

We've been able to realize huge cost savings by doing this work ourselves!  That means we will have more funds available to complete the new facility in the end!

THANK YOU to all who have devoted so much time in preparing the building for the construction phase!

If you have any specific questions feel free to call Rob Mitchell at 402-525-9797 or Blane Steckly at 641-3236.

In Christ,
Corey Mann
